Privacy notice

1. Who we are

SIA "Icarus Logistics", 11-22E Stabu iela, LV-1010, Riga, Latvia, is the controller of the personal data described here. For anything about this notice or your data, write to info@icaruslogistics.com.

2. What we collect

When you send an enquiry: your company, name, email address and phone number, and the shipment details you give us — route, equipment, cargo, dates and any notes.

When you email or call us: what you choose to send us.

When you visit the site: your IP address and browser details, which our hosting provider records in its server logs; Cloudflare uses them for a moment to check that an enquiry comes from a person rather than a bot, and to count page views without identifying you.

3. Why we use it

To answer your enquiry and prepare a routing and a price — steps you have asked us to take before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you become a customer, to carry out that contract.

To keep the website and the enquiry form secure and free of spam, and to see how many people visit which pages — our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not use your data for marketing, sell it, or make automated decisions about you.

4. Who else handles it

These providers process data on our behalf, under data processing terms:

• Render (United States) — hosts this website.
• Cloudflare (United States) — runs the spam check (Turnstile), the service that receives the enquiry form, and the visitor statistics (Web Analytics).
• Resend (United States) — delivers the enquiry to our mailbox. Emails are sent from Ireland; Resend keeps delivery records in the United States.

The enquiry then reaches our own mailbox, where our staff handle it.

5. Transfers outside the EU

Render, Cloudflare and Resend are based in the United States. Where your data leaves the European Economic Area, it is protected by the safeguards the GDPR requires: the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and, for providers certified under it, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

6. How long we keep it

An enquiry is kept for as long as we need it to answer you and, if you become a customer, for our business relationship and the periods the law requires after it. Enquiries that do not lead to business are deleted within three years of our last contact. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security.

7. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive it in a portable format. Write to info@icaruslogistics.com; we answer within one month.

You can also complain to the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (Datu valsts inspekcija, www.dvi.gov.lv) or the authority where you live.

8. Cookies

This site sets no cookies. Visitor statistics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without tracking you across other sites. We use no advertising tools.

9. Changes

We update this notice when the way we handle data changes. Last updated 25 September 2026.
